Strategic Planning for Price Transparency:
GHS has been at the forefront of the CMS Price Transparency regulation and are very experienced in assisting clients to bring their organizations within compliance. Our typical plan of approach with clients is as follows:
- Organize a Governance Team with key client stakeholders to assess, identify and finalize files based on the CMS Price Transparency requirements
- Assist client to complete the following tasks:
- Organize third party payers’ contracts into logical reporting groups based on contractual agreements, e.g., negotiated rates/charges
- Develop guiding principles to facilitate data analytics, future maintenance efforts and audit trails
- Use already developed templates and customer friendly descriptions as the foundation for the machine readable files
- Customize GHS algorithm to select 300 shoppable services that are consistent with regulatory requirements and also meaningful to customers
- Validate selected price estimator tool for compliance with regulatory requirements
- Finalize guidebook for maintenance purposes
